We felt our home needed an upgrade for the Master Suite and Trollinger Construction met our needs and exceeded our expectations. I am so happy/ecstatic with my shower and all the work that was done. The bath is gorgeous!!!! As the renovation of our home comes to a close, I wanted to thank all of you for a job well done. From start to finish, the process has gone more smoothly than we anticipated. Much of that can be attributed to the quality of people involved. From the very first visit with Mark and Lisa, Brad and I felt comfortable taking their advice on how to achieve our goals in a way that we could afford while also adding value to our home. As most folks do, we had to trim our "dream list" a little to fit within our budget, but Mark and Lisa were able to help us find ways to save. Here are a few of my thoughts regarding the fine folks who were involved in our project. Mark: His attention to detail, specifically as it relates to estimating and controlling costs, was a huge comfort. Our experience with other contractors in the past had made us cautious. We had heard good things about Mark's creativity, business skills and management style...all those characteristics proved to be true. Lisa: She is truly the voice of calm. When I felt a little overwhelmed with decisions or changes, she walked me through. I appreciated having a woman's perspective who could help me plan for function AND style. Tim: Great job at Project Manager! Though he wasn't here every day, he was always available and here on the important days. I knew if I had a question, Tim was my "go to" guy. If he didn't know the answer, he made some calls and followed up promptly with an answer. Royce: My phrase for Royce..."Royce Rocks". He's always on time. He's a true craftsman with wood, whether it's the floors or the fine details of columns and moulding. Ron: It is clear that he takes pride in his work and he demonstrates flexibility and multiple skill sets. He will be known as "the sheetrock savior" to me. Phil Snider (painting): He laughs often and seems to enjoy what he does. I was amazed with his speed AND quality of work. Phil Leach: I love the tile backsplash! Phil was quick to ask for my input on a couple of ways to arrange, but also offered good ideas that wouldn't have occurred to me. Danny Burgess (East Randolph Cabinet Shop): He built those cabinets 25 years ago to last...and they have! The invisible hinges and new coat of sealer really improved the look. Delta Plumbing & Electrical: Their folks were knowledgeable, efficient, and very courteous. Rick and Chris Spencer should be proud of them. C & M Seamless Gutters: They will certainly be Brad's heroes if it means his most hated chore of cleaning gutters is easier and less frequent. We want to thank ALL of these folks for their sensitivity in working around us while we tried to live in the midst of a renovation. We always felt safe and respected. Trust is so important, and it is clear that Mark has chosen people of character to work on the jobs he manages. You can count on us to recommend Trollinger Construction (and their subs) to anyone looking to build or renovate. To Everyone Assigned to Our Job Site: While researching home renovations/choosing a contractor, we were told to expect at least a 10% overage on the budget and an additional 1-2 month delay beyond the completion date. Happily, neither of these occurred despite many changes and additions that were made during our construction process. Mark kept us well-informed of the budget, and there were absolutely no surprises. Admittedly, living through a four month, total house renovation is not easy. You sacrifice your privacy, deal with constant dirt/dust, live in chaos, and listen to hammers hitting nails and saws cutting wood. Fortunately, the employees/subcontractors assigned to our job site made our lives bearable with their friendly, positive attitude, dedication to the tasks at hand, and exceptional skills/craftsmanship. We couldn't be happier with the end results. In fact, everyone who sees our "new" house is amazed by the transformation and impressed by the quality workmanship. We would like to thank the following people assigned to our renovation for turning six pages of detailed notes into a beautiful reality: Mark, Lisa, Tim, Ann, Barrett, Nathan, Royce, Ron, Phillip, Travis, Ricky, Rick Spencer (Delta Plumbing & Electrical), Alfred Coble (Forever Wood Floors), Danny Burgess (East Randolph Cabinet Shop), and Jeff Brigman (Brigman Professionals).
